Een wheel-on model kost rond 300 euro, een direct drive tussen 500 en 1500 euro en een smartbike rond 3000 euro. Kijk niet alleen naar de prijs als je een trainer wilt kopen. Een duurdere trainer geeft een realistischer fietservaring, waardoor je meer plezier hebt in het rijden op bijvoorbeeld zwift. Ook zijn ze stiller, waardoor je kunt trainen als de kinderen in bed liggen.
